In 2020, I collaborated with Price Attack’s HR Department to revamp an employment campaign following concerns about the original artwork created by the internal design team. After reviewing the initial design, it was clear that it appeared disturbing and unappealing, failing to meet its intended goal of attracting potential employees. Recognizing the need for an improved approach, I offered my services to create a new ad that would match Price Attack’s brand-aligned vision and deliver an appealing, professional look.
For the redesign, I focused on creating clean, welcoming visuals and compelling messaging that resonated with the brand’s identity. However, after submitting the initial draft, the HR Department requested adjustments, noting that they preferred the model to appear without tattoos. Using Photoshop, I refined the image to remove the tattoos, then resubmitted the updated design. This revised version was accepted and implemented across both digital and print platforms, effectively aligning with the recruitment campaign’s objectives and enhancing the brand’s appeal to prospective employees.
Working While working for Vanity Hair, I created a range of marketing materials and social media posts that highlighted the brand’s style and seasonal promotions. One memorable Christmas campaign featured a festive ornament as the central image, designed in various colours to capture attention. Inside the ornament, the text highlighted a special holiday offer on salon services, including a gloss semi-colour, moisture treatment, blow dry, and styling options like iron-straightening or curls.
The ad’s eye-catching, seasonal design helped build excitement, drawing in clients who wanted to get holiday-ready. This approach was ideal for Instagram, where visual appeal is essential for engagement, and it successfully boosted bookings during the Christmas period by showcasing Vanity Hair’s unique services.
During high school, I took a photography class where I learned some fascinating techniques for working with a camera, particularly in relation to shutter speed. For example, I discovered that setting a long exposure, such as a thirty-second delay, allowed for some unique effects. By moving a light source in front of the camera during this exposure, you can create dynamic, surreal images.
One memorable instance involved using a mannequin that the school had on hand. I decided to experiment with this setup, resulting in two of my favourite creations: Neon Storm and Angel. These images captured vibrant, fluid trails of light that interacted with the mannequin’s form, giving each photo an ethereal and striking quality.
This experience not only sparked my creativity but also deepened my appreciation for the technical and artistic possibilities of photography.
These custom sneaker designs are a testament to the creative journey I embarked on during high school, where I sought to push the boundaries of my skills in graphic design. Each design reflects a blend of bold aesthetics, personal inspiration, and technical experimentation, all crafted as part of a class project aimed at honing my artistic abilities.
This vibrant green and black sneaker was designed with the goal of creating a visually striking statement piece. The marbled green pattern represents the fusion of nature and urban energy, while the black overlays add depth and contrast. The design process challenged me to balance bold colors with subtle detailing, resulting in a shoe that exudes confidence and individuality.
Inspired by my love for travel and architecture, this design features a high-resolution image of London’s iconic Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. The blue and red color palette pays homage to the city's vibrant culture and history.
This project allowed me to explore the integration of photography and digital design, creating a wearable piece of art that celebrates one of the world’s most recognizable landmarks.
Another one of my projects during high school, but unlike the previous ones this was made as a experiment during my early years into graphic design.
I made this to try and advertise the dangers of drunk driving, the design was a tad dramatic but I think it got my point across.
I used bright colours to attract attention towards it.
